The latest googlebomb is about the leader of the Liberal Dhimmocrats - Charles Kennedy - and his reputation as a drunken failure. Usually I feel bad kicking a man when he's down in the gutter, but I'm prepared to make exceptions in special cases like this one. Given the Blair-lite characteristics of the Cameroon toff I'd quite like it if England had a political party which was both socially and economically liberal
How about a party that believed in exporting democracy and freedom to countries ruled by bloodthirsty tyrants? and putting a stop to international abuses (q.v. Wilberforce's anti-slavery colleagues - the whigs Charles Fox, Richard Brinsley Sheridan, William Grenville and Henry Brougham). A party that believed in small government and getting the government's nose out of affairs that should have nothing to do with it. In other words a classic "liberal" party. Under Mr Kennedy's reign the Lib Dhims seem to have turned their party into a Orwellian Newspeak travesty of its name.
