The olives are ripening too quickly. A lot of them look like the picture above and they ought to be more like the picture below. This means that despite my hopes of a few weeks back the blasted olive fly did show up. However assuming the mill does what it is supposed to then I can pick them all next week / on the first weekend in November and take them to the mill on the following Monday to be turned into olive oli (with extra protein).
