The Lefty Lexicon

Much excitement is occuring in the UK blogosphere thanks to a gentleman called Inigo Wilson who published something of this name on a Conservative Party blog. Thanks to the MPACUK, a group which never fails to demonstrate its intolerance, Inigo has been suspended from his job (amidst much rejoicing in some quarters) and I fear that his lexicon may be removed. So I have copied it and added to it at my new Lefty Lexicon page.

If anyone ever wanted examples of humourless lefties and intolerant islamists then this would be it. As far as I can tell the definitions that caused the greatest offence were:

• Islamophobic : “Anyone who objects to having their transport blown up on the way to work.”
• Palestinians : “Archetype ‘victims’ no matter how many teenagers they murder in bars and fast food outlets. Never responsible for anything they do – or done in their name - because of ‘root causes’ or ‘legitimate grievances’.”

In other news Project Gutenberg has the Devil's Dictionary available, whence the following definition:

• WITTICISM, n. A sharp and clever remark, usually quoted, and seldom noted; what the Philistine is pleased to call a "joke."
